Editor-in-Chief Nuikki: Pekka Nuikki is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the FINE-magazines. He is also in charge of the appearance and illustration of the magazines.
Wine Investor Nuikki: Before founding the FINE publishing house, Pekka Nuikki became famous as a wine investor. There are over 100 wine investing related articles about him and he has visited several television programs to discuss the subject. Since 1998 Nuikki has published the Wine Investing Report on a monthly basis and was also the first person in Europe to publish a book about wine investing. The 450 page ‘In Vino Veritas – How to collect and invest into wines’ publication is the basic book of wine investing.
Artist Nuikki
Pekka Nuikki has had numerous solo exhibitions around the world since 1990. Many significant museums and private collectors have his work in their collections. Most recently, his wine related work was exhibited at the Bordeaux festival Fête de la Fleur and solo exhibitions at the Coburg Palace in Vienna and at the Meadowoods in Napa Valley in 2009. Many books have been published on his art, the latest being on the subject of wine, Black & White Wine Stories and Wine Views 2009. Two new wine related photography publications by Nuikki are coming out in 2010.
Nuikki’s hand painted black and white wine themed works are found on the walls of many vineyards and the pages of, for example, The World of Fine Wine Magazine. Nuikki has also worked as a gallerist and as a curator and organiser of art exhibitions. He has been a member of the international professional artist organisation IIAA since 1993.
Author Nuikki
Nuikki is one of the leading and most productive wine authors in Europe. Several wine themed books of his have been published in recent years, most recently publications in English and German: Drinking History – Stories from Wines and Vintages 1870-1970; Mouton-Rothschild Art and Wine; and the “Michelin Guide” of the wine world, 1000 Finest Wines Ever Made. The 100 Most Important Red Wines, as well as Drinking History part II will be available in 2010.
Photographer and director Nuikki
Pekka Nuikki has travelled as a fashion photographer in over 100 countries and worked as an advertisement film director. His photographs have been published in hundreds of magazines and publications. He has studied photography at the London College of Printing Art and film directing in the British Film Institute. Furthermore, he has taught in a number of educational institutions in France, the United Kingdom and a number of other countries. His commercial work has been published in two volumes: Eye of the Vision and Eye of the Vision in Colour
Designer Nuikki
Pekka Nuikki devotes part of his workday into being the Creative Director and Partner of an advertising agency group. He has been responsible of the look and marketing of several international brands since 1996. Commercials, photographs, logos, volumes, and publications of his creation have been awarded all over the world with over 150 international awards, including Kodak Pro Prize, Montreaux Film Festival Golden Palm, Clio Gold Award, Epica Gold Award, LIA Grand Prix, and the Dialogue Grand Prix.
Nuikki Clubs
Some 20 years ago in London, Nuikki founded his first wine club: The Vine Club, the most prestigious Nordic wine club. The Vine Club is a private tasting group, which has a membership of 35 – carefully selected persons who enjoy wine with the desire to get valuable experiences and thrills. Today The Vine Club holds regular wine tastings and wine dinners in the Nordic Countries. The club has excelled itself with some stunning events. Our past tastings have featured almost all of the world's rarest and finest wines including 92 vintages of Château Lafite starting from 1811, 77 vintages of Mouton-Rothschild starting from 1875, 90 vintages of Château d'Yquem starting from 1819, and 64 vintages of Pétrus starting from 1900
Nuikki is also the founder of The Premier Wine Club, which holds super rare wine tastings and dinners. Latest event included wines like Quinta do Noval Nacional 1825, Jayer Richebourg 1985, Moet&Chandon 1884 and Romanée Conti 1934. He is also the founder of Fine Tasting Group and The Editorial Dinners@.
